1. 3 WEST CLUB

Location: 3 West 51st Street | 3 West Club is located in Midtown on 51st Street and 5th Avenue.
How to get there: Closest subways are the E, B, D, F and M trains.
Contact Information: 3 West Club
Capacity: Good for bigger groups.
Privacy: Completely private.
‘Bad Weather’ location: YES, it is indoors with a small private balcony.

Tips: 3 West Club is located right across from 620 Loft & Garden and Rockefeller Center and has an amazing view of St. Patrick’s Cathedral from its private balcony. This location provides additional ‘add-ons’ such as chairs, champagne or a sound system for  an additional cost.

2. 6BC BOTANICAL GARDEN

Location: 630 East 6th Street, which is between Avenue B and C.
How to get there: 6BC is located in the East Village. There are lots of subways around that area (L, N, Q, R, Q, W, 4, 5, 6, B, D, F, M, J and Z) but the closest subway is about 8 blocks away which is about a 15 minute walk. A cab, Uber or Lyft might be the better option.

Capacity: Good for bigger groups.
Privacy: Pretty private.
‘Bad Weather’ location: NO, it is out in the open. The trellis can offers shelter from light rain as well as the sun during the months when it is grown over.

Tips: 6BC is a hidden gem and best kept secret when it comes to ceremony locations. It is a small Botanical Garden that is off the beaten path. So not a lot of tourists know of or find this gorgeous community garden. You can get a permit for the space so you can have your ceremony right there. Although, the garden stays open for the community during your reservation so an excited onlooker might wish you well after the ‘I do’.

3. 620 LOFT & GARDEN

Location: 620 5th Avenue. The entrance is on 50th Street between 5th & 6th Avenue.
How to get there:
 620 Loft & Garden – also known as 620 Fifth Avenue – is located in midtown and close to lots of subways. The B, D, F, M and E are just around the corner.
Contact Information: 620 Loft & Garden
Capacity: Ideal for bigger groups.
Privacy: 100% private. If you rent the space, only your group will be allowed up there.
‘Bad Weather’ location: NO, it is out in the open. They do have a tent at the entry to the roof deck but this locations shines when you are out in the open.

Tips: This might be the best ceremony, wedding & photo location in all of New York City. It has amazing views of St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Rockefeller Center while you are high above the streets of New York. As you can imagine, this luxury comes with a price but there is nothing wrong with contacting them for rates. They offer different rates for different seasons, days and times of day. And they allow you to rent the space for just an hour which is plenty of time for an intimate elopement and photo session.

4. BROOKLYN BOTANICAL GARDEN

Location: 990 Washington Avenue in Brooklyn.
How to get there: The closest subways are the 2, 3, 4, 5 and S lines. But the B and Q are also in walking distance.
Contact Information: Brooklyn Botanical Garden
Capacity: Good for bigger groups.
Privacy: The gardens are open to the public but the area is so big that there is always a place that is a bit more secluded.
‘Bad Weather’ location: NO, it’s mostly out in the open. There are a few structures that can shelter from light rain and also give shade from the sun.

Tips: The Brooklyn Botanical Garden is gorgeous in all seasons. But it truly shines when the cherry blossom trees are in bloom. That is when the park becomes magical.

5. CONSERVATORY GARDEN

Location: 1233 5th Avenue | The Conservatory Garden is located in the northeast corner of Central Park. Technically it is part of Central Park but has its own set of rules. The entrance to the Conservatory is on 105th Street and 5th Avenue.
How to get there:
The closest subway to the Conservatory Garden is the 6 train which is 3 long blocks to the east.

Capacity: Good for bigger groups.
Privacy: Pretty private. While the general public is still allowed in the area, the ceremony still feels private.
‘Bad Weather’ location: NO, it’s out in the open. During the summertime the overgrown structure and trees can shelter from a light rain and also give shade from the sun.

Tips: Central Park’s 6-acre formal garden is an oasis within an oasis. For the exact locations of below photos refer to the location map. They are marked in the order they appear in the post. The park employees will always ask to see the permit so always bring a copy along to the ceremony.

6. HARD ROCK CAFE MARQUEE IN TIMES SQUARE

Location: 1501 Broadway | Right in the middle of Times Square.
How to get there: The N, Q, R, W, S, 1, 2, 3 and 7 trains are right in front of their door. The A, C, E, B, D, F and M are within close walking distance.
Contact Information: Hard Rock Cafe Times Square
Capacity: Good for smaller groups.
Privacy: You will be by yourself on top of the Marquee but just below will be thousands of people and the amazing energy of NYC.
‘Bad Weather’ location: NO, the Marquee is out in the open. But they have a small room adjacent to the Marquee in case of bad weather.

Tips: Not a lot of people know that you can actually rent the Marquee of the Hard Rock Cafe. It definitely is a unique location as you are in the middle of the bustle of Times Square and still have your privacy.

7. HOUSING WOKRS BOOKSTORE

Location: 126 Crosby Street | Located in the lower half of Manhattan in the neighborhood of SoHo.
How to get there: The R, W, B, D, F, M and 6 trains are all within walking distance.
Contact Information: Housing Works Bookstore
Capacity: Great for bigger groups.
Privacy: Very private as you rent the entire space.
‘Bad Weather’ location: YES, it is all indoors.

Tips: Not every day do you have the chance to get married inside a bookstore. So if you love books, this might be the perfect location for you. The Housing Works Bookstore is great for bigger groups. If you are looking for something a bit smaller and more intimate check out the rare book room of Strand Bookstore further down on this list.

8. LADY MENDL’S TEA ROOM

Location: 56 Irving Place | Located in the lower half of Manhattan in the neighborhood of Gramercy Park.
How to get there: Trains within walking distance are the L, N, Q, R, W, 4, 5 and 6.

Tips: This location is another very unique one on the our list. You can get married and have your photos taken while having tea time. How fancy is that?! This venue has many spaces that provide different looks, colors and with a glamorous feel.

9. MERCHANT’S HOUSE MUSEUM

Location: 29 East 4th Street | Located in the lower half of Manhattan in the neighborhood of NoHo.
How to get there: The R, W and 6 trains are right next door and the B, D, F and M trains are within walking distance.
Contact Information: Merchant’s House Museum
Capacity: Good for bigger groups.
Privacy: YES, very private.
‘Bad Weather’ location: NO, the garden is out in the open. The museum is indoors but it is narrow with small rooms. This locations shines because of the private outdoor garden.

Tips: The Merchant’s House is the only nineteenth-century family home in New York City preserved intact – both inside and out. You are able to arrange with the staff for additional ‘add-on’s’ such as champagne at an additional cost.

10. STRAND’S RARE BOOK ROOM

Location: 828 Broadway | Located in the lower half of Manhattan in the neighborhood of NoHo.
How to get there: The R, W and 6 trains are right next door and the B, D, F and M trains are within walking distance.

Capacity: Good for smaller groups.
Privacy: YES, it is private.
‘Bad Weather’ location: YES, it is indoors.

Tips: Strand’s rare book room is especially great for small intimate weddings as they rent the space by the hour. However, you can rent for big weddings as well. The staff is very accommodating moving book displays or finding specific titles with special sentiment for photos.

11. THE LAMBS CLUB

Location: 132 W 44th Street | Right in the middle of Times Square.
How to get there: The B, D, F, M, N, Q, R, W, S, 1, 2, 3 and 7 are all within walking distance.
Contact Information: The Lambs Club
Capacity: Good for bigger groups.
Privacy: YES, very private.
‘Bad Weather’ location: YES, it is indoors with a private deck.

Tips: This venue can be rented fully catered if you like. Pardon the blurred area in the photo but the only wedding we have done here was a private event. However you can still see the room and get an idea of the beautiful space covered in crown molding.

12. THE METROPOLITAN BUILDING

Location: 4401 11th Street in Queens
How to get there: The E and M trains are right around the corner and the 7 and G trains are within walking distance.
Permit: The Metropolitan Building
Capacity: Great for small and big groups.
Privacy: YES, private.
‘Bad Weather’ location: YES, it is indoors.

Tips: The Metropolitan Building is a photographer’s dream. 3 floors of unique spaces and an outdoor area overlooking Queens. The venue allows a variety of feelings throughout and gives your photographer the ability to capture your true essence as a couple around every corner. Pardon the cut out photos but the couple in the images will have a family wedding later this year and they don’t want the surprise ruined. Once they had their wedding with their families I will update the photos so you can see them in context.

Subways are close to all hotel in the city.

Tips: There are tons of hotels in the city that have rooms and suites with private balconies or decks. Sometimes the rooms themselves are perfect for a ceremony. Just ask us and we can help you with some recommendations.
