The Frick Collection Wedding of Ashley & Jason | A Frick Museum Elopement

This is the Frick Collection Wedding of Ashley & Jason. These two are locals from Jersey and decided to say their ‘I Dos’ here in NYC. Ashley and Jason were looking for a unique location for their vows and they sure did find a very special place in the city, The Frick Collection. We were a bit worried that the museum wouldn’t allow a ceremony during regular business hours but after a phone call they gave us the ‘thumbs up’. So in the midst of the beautiful artwork these two married each other. After they got hitched we went on a photo tour all over the city. From Central Park to the cobble stone streets of SoHo and from the graffiti walls to the bright lights of Time Square. It was such a pleasure for Team Reinking to be part of their wedding day and this Frick Museum elopement.

Dies ist die Frick Collection Hochzeit von Ashley & Jason. Die Zwei kamen aus New Jersey und waren auf der Suche nach einem ganz besonderen Ort für ihre Trauung in New York und den hatten wir mit dem Frick Museum gefunden. In Mitten der Kunstwerke gaben sich Ashley und Jason das ‘Ja-Wort’. Anschliessend starteten wir dann unsere Fototour. Vom Central Park zu den Kopfsteinpflasterstrassen und Graffitiwänden in SoHo bis zum Times Square war alles dabei. Heiraten in New York mal ganz anders und auch für Team Reinking ganz neu.

20 years!!

175,320 hours.
10,519,200 minutes.
And around 631 million seconds of putting up with each other.

Today, exactly 20 years ago, I married my best friend. And I had no idea what the next 20 years would bring.

I love Jackie more today than ever. Which says a lot, because I already liked her quite a bit before. She is my best friend, my business partner, my favorite person to do absolutely nothing with, and somehow the only human alive who can handle my grumpy moods. No really, that alone should win her an award or something.

When we met, I was still an architect and Jackie was a musical theater actor. Neither of us could have imagined that 20 years later we would be running our own wedding business together, celebrating love for a living, and helping over 1,200 couples create their own love stories.

We literally spend all our time together. Business, travel, life...and I still wake up every day wanting more of it. That is either true love or early signs of insanity. Probably both.

And to think it all started when I walked down the stairs at Bethesda Terrace and saw her sitting by the fountain…in those ugly pink pants. (Yes, they were that bad. Whole nother story. Ask me about it sometime.)

Twenty years later, we have built this wild, beautiful, unpredictable life together. There have been plot twists, bad haircuts, flight delays, lost luggage, and a whole lot of laughter. And I would not trade a single second of it.

Here is to the next 20 years of chaos, love, and whatever else we get ourselves into. ❤️

Couples always ask me what happens if it rains on their wedding day. We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement.

Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot. First time for everything, and golf magic at its finest.

Easily the best scorecard moment of the day. 😂

We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement. Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot.
