The Brooklyn Elopement of Angela & Dustin | A Unique Dumbo Wedding

This is the Brooklyn elopement of Angela & Dustin. I met Angela at her hotel in Brooklyn to cover the last minutes of her getting ready. Angela’s best friend and family was there as well to share this moment with her. We then made our way to meet Dustin for the ‘first look’. In front of a row of traditional Brooklyn brownstone houses they saw each other for the first time in their wedding attire. That was such a special moment for all of us. We then walked around Brooklyn for their wedding photos before we met the wedding party and Jackie at the Brooklyn waterfront for the ceremony. This was such a special wedding and I’m so happy that we could be part of it.

Dies ist die Hochzeit von Angela & Dustin in Brooklyn. Ich traf Angela in ihrem Hotel um die letzten Vorbereitungen zu fotografieren. Ihr beste Freundin und Familie waren auch dort um diesen Moment mit ihr zu teilen. Anschliessend machten wir uns auf den Weg um Dustin zu treffen. Die Zwei hatten ihren “First Look’ vor den tollen originalen Brooklyn Brownstone Häusern. Das war ein ganz besonderer Moment für uns alle. Dann liefen wir etwas durch Brooklyn um Fotos zu machen bevor wir dann die Hochzeitsgäste und Jackie für die Zeremonie an Ufer trafen. Eine echte tolle Hochzeit in New York. Was für ein fantastischer Tag!!

20 years!!
7,305 days.
175,320 hours.
10,519,200 minutes.
And around 631 million seconds of putting up with each other.

Today, exactly 20 years ago, I married my best friend. And I had no idea what the next 20 years would bring.

I love Jackie more today than ever. Which says a lot, because I already liked her quite a bit before. She is my best friend, my business partner, my favorite person to do absolutely nothing with, and somehow the only human alive who can handle my grumpy moods. No really, that alone should win her an award or something.

When we met, I was still an architect and Jackie was a musical theater actor. Neither of us could have imagined that 20 years later we would be running our own wedding business together, celebrating love for a living, and helping over 1,200 couples create their own love stories.

We literally spend all our time together. Business, travel, life...and I still wake up every day wanting more of it. That is either true love or early signs of insanity. Probably both.

And to think it all started when I walked down the stairs at Bethesda Terrace and saw her sitting by the fountain…in those ugly pink pants. (Yes, they were that bad. Whole nother story. Ask me about it sometime.)

Twenty years later, we have built this wild, beautiful, unpredictable life together. There have been plot twists, bad haircuts, flight delays, lost luggage, and a whole lot of laughter. And I would not trade a single second of it.

Here is to the next 20 years of chaos, love, and whatever else we get ourselves into. ❤️

Couples always ask me what happens if it rains on their wedding day. We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement.

Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot. First time for everything, and golf magic at its finest.

Easily the best scorecard moment of the day. 😂

We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement. Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot. First time for everything, and golf magic at its finest. Easily the best scorecard moment of the day. 😂
