The Fort Tryon Park Wedding of Camela & Robert. We love to do weddings in places we don’t usually visit very often. So we got really excited when Camela and Robert asked us to join them for their wedding day at Fort Tryon Park. The park was gorgeous on a beautiful day in fall. Thinking about it, we actually should make the trip up there more often. It is truly a treat walking around that peaceful park. Camela and Robert had their families with them when we met up. Jackie performed the ceremony and afterwards we strolled through the park for wedding photos. Such a wonderful day with an even more wonderful couple.

Die Fort Tryon Park Hochzeit von Camela & Robert. Wir lieben Hochzeiten an Orten, die wir normalerweise nicht oft besuchen. Wir waren daher sehr erfreut, als Camela und Robert uns baten, an ihrem Hochzeitstag im Fort Tryon Park teilzunehmen. Der Park war wunderschön an einem wunderbaren Herbsttag. Wenn wir richtig darüber nachdenken, sollten wir die Reise dorthin tatsächlich öfter machen. Es ist wirklich ein Vergnügen, durch diesen friedlichen Park zu spazieren. Camela und Robert hatten ihre Familien bei sich, als wir uns trafen. Jackie führte die Zeremonie durch und danach schlenderten wir durch den Park, um Hochzeitsfotos zu machen. So ein wundervoller Tag mit einem ganz tollen Paar.

10,519,200 minutes.
And around 631 million seconds of putting up with each other.

Today, exactly 20 years ago, I married my best friend. And I had no idea what the next 20 years would bring.

I love Jackie more today than ever. Which says a lot, because I already liked her quite a bit before. She is my best friend, my business partner, my favorite person to do absolutely nothing with, and somehow the only human alive who can handle my grumpy moods. No really, that alone should win her an award or something.

When we met, I was still an architect and Jackie was a musical theater actor. Neither of us could have imagined that 20 years later we would be running our own wedding business together, celebrating love for a living, and helping over 1,200 couples create their own love stories.

We literally spend all our time together. Business, travel, life...and I still wake up every day wanting more of it. That is either true love or early signs of insanity. Probably both.

And to think it all started when I walked down the stairs at Bethesda Terrace and saw her sitting by the fountain…in those ugly pink pants. (Yes, they were that bad. Whole nother story. Ask me about it sometime.)

Twenty years later, we have built this wild, beautiful, unpredictable life together. There have been plot twists, bad haircuts, flight delays, lost luggage, and a whole lot of laughter. And I would not trade a single second of it.

Here is to the next 20 years of chaos, love, and whatever else we get ourselves into. ❤️
