Your New York City Elopement Photographer

Carmen & Philipp eloped in NYC! These two traveled from Switzerland to get married in New York City. Carmen and Philipp tied the know at the City Clerk’s Office in Downtown Manhattan and we met up for their wedding photos afterwards. Their wish was to have some graffiti and cobble stone streets in their images. So we started in SoHo which its perfect for photos with street art. We also made a quick stop in midtown to say ‘hi’ to the Public Library and Grand Central Terminal. We then caught the subway and made our way over to the Gantry Park in Long Island City, Queens before we said our goodbyes.

Carmen & Philipp haben in New York geheiratet! Die Zwei kamen aus der Schweiz um hier in New York ihre Hochzeit zu feiern. Carmen und Philipp liessen sich im Standesamt trauen und ich traf die beiden dann hinterher für ein Fotoshooting. Graffiti und Kopfsteinpflaster waren ihnen wichtig und so fingen wir in SoHo an was perfekt für Strassenkunst ist. Anschließend machten wir einen kleinen Abstecher nach Midtown wo wir Fotos bei der Public Library und in der Grand Central machten. Mit der Subway ging es dann zum Schluss in den Gantry Park in Long Island City, Queens.

Sometimes the wedding shoes deserve their own portrait. 👠❤️

We had officially finished our NYC elopement photo shoot when I spotted those unmistakable red soles in her hand and, well…we weren’t quite finished yet. 😂

There’s something very New York about walking through Midtown in your wedding dress with your Louboutins dangling from your fingers after a day of getting married. Elegant, exhausted, happy and absolutely worth one last photo.

And that little flash of red against the white dress? Come on. Some details are simply too good not to document.

One of my favorite things about photographing NYC elopements is how quickly the city changes the mood. One minute you are tucked away in Central Park, the next you are standing in the middle of Manhattan with yellow cabs, buses, crosswalks, and skyscrapers all around you. Maria & Timo made it look effortless.
