The Wollman Skating Rink Wedding of Rachel & Stuart | A Central Park Elopement at Night

This is the Wollman Skating Rink Wedding of Rachel & Stuart. And this was definitely a first for Team Reinking in all these years we have married couples here in New York. Rachel and Stuart contacted the Wollman Rink to see if there was the opportunity to have their wedding on the rink. And to our surprise they said yes! So we met on a cold winter’s night, after the rink closed to the public, to celebrate their union in the middle of Central Park. This entire event was truly magical which the newlyweds will never forget. And to be perfectly honest, Jackie & I will never forget this night either. After their vows the rink manager surprised them with two hockey sticks and a puck so Rachel and Stuart could enjoy a little “friendly” match. I will not say who won that dual…but Rachel won!! Rachel & Stuart, thank you so very much for picking us to be part of your wedding day on ice. This was truly a highlight!!

Heute zeigen wir euch die Wollman Rink Hochzeit von Rachel & Stuart. Und diese Trauung war selbst für Team Reinking etwas ganz neues. In all den Jahren in denen wir Hochzeiten in New York begleiten haben wir noch nie eine Hochzeit auf dem Eis gehabt. Rachel und Stuart hatten den Wollman Rink kontaktiert ob sie auf der Schlittschuhbahn heiraten könnten und zu unserer Überraschung sagten sie ja. Und so trafen wir uns an einem kalten Winterabend am Rink, nachdem der Rink für die Öffentlichkeit geschlossen wurde. Die Zwei heirateten mit Jackie in der Mitte des Eisfläche und nach der Trauung überraschte der Rink-Manager die beiden mit zwei Hockey Sticks und einem Puck. Und so spielten Rachel und Stuart ihre erste Runde Hockey als frischvermähltes Ehepaar.

Working on something new for our couples. And this one took a while to get right…

20 years!!
7,305 days.
175,320 hours.
10,519,200 minutes.
And around 631 million seconds of putting up with each other.

Today, exactly 20 years ago, I married my best friend. And I had no idea what the next 20 years would bring.

I love Jackie more today than ever. Which says a lot, because I already liked her quite a bit before. She is my best friend, my business partner, my favorite person to do absolutely nothing with, and somehow the only human alive who can handle my grumpy moods. No really, that alone should win her an award or something.

When we met, I was still an architect and Jackie was a musical theater actor. Neither of us could have imagined that 20 years later we would be running our own wedding business together, celebrating love for a living, and helping over 1,200 couples create their own love stories.

We literally spend all our time together. Business, travel, life...and I still wake up every day wanting more of it. That is either true love or early signs of insanity. Probably both.

And to think it all started when I walked down the stairs at Bethesda Terrace and saw her sitting by the fountain…in those ugly pink pants. (Yes, they were that bad. Whole nother story. Ask me about it sometime.)

Twenty years later, we have built this wild, beautiful, unpredictable life together. There have been plot twists, bad haircuts, flight delays, lost luggage, and a whole lot of laughter. And I would not trade a single second of it.

Here is to the next 20 years of chaos, love, and whatever else we get ourselves into. ❤️

We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement.

Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot. First time for everything, and golf magic at its finest.

Easily the best scorecard moment of the day. 😂

We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement. Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot. First time for everything, and golf magic at its finest. Easily the best scorecard moment of the day. 😂
