Katie and Matthew Elope at the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park | Hochzeit in New York City

Katie and Matthew elope at the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park. Actually, they eloped a while ago and I just now get around to show you some of their wedding photos. I met up with Katie at her hotel where she was surrounded by friends, family and her beautiful daughter Ava. They all were getting ready for the big day while sipping Champagne (and juice). Matthew was already waiting at the Ladies Pavilion with his family when we arrived a little while later. Annie performed a memorable ceremony and after we took family photos Katie, Matthew and I snuck away to capture some images just for the two of them. We walked through the park, stopped at the Bow Bridge, the Bethesda Fountain and The Mall and Literary Walk before we made our way to Times Square for some New York street shots. Katie and Matthew, it made me smile from ear to ear looking at these photos again. I had such a great time with you guys. Thank you for letting me be part of your family for that day.

Dies ist die Hochzeit von Katie und Matthew im Ladies Pavilion im Central Park. Ich traf Katie in ihrem Hotel wo sie von Freunden, Familie und ihrer bezaubernden Tochter Ava umgeben war. Nach einigen Gläsern Sekt (und Saft) machten wir uns auf den Weg in den Park wo Matthew bereits mit seiner Familie wartete. Annie führte die Zeremonie durch und im Anschluss schlichen Katie, Matthew und ich uns davon um einige Hochzeitsbilder von nun den beiden zu machen. Wir liefen über die Bow Bridge, hielten beim Bethesda Fountain an und schlenderten durch ‘The Mall and Literary Walk’ bevor es dann für ein paar New Yorker Strassenfotos zum Times Square ging.

And around 631 million seconds of putting up with each other.

Today, exactly 20 years ago, I married my best friend. And I had no idea what the next 20 years would bring.

I love Jackie more today than ever. Which says a lot, because I already liked her quite a bit before. She is my best friend, my business partner, my favorite person to do absolutely nothing with, and somehow the only human alive who can handle my grumpy moods. No really, that alone should win her an award or something.

When we met, I was still an architect and Jackie was a musical theater actor. Neither of us could have imagined that 20 years later we would be running our own wedding business together, celebrating love for a living, and helping over 1,200 couples create their own love stories.

We literally spend all our time together. Business, travel, life...and I still wake up every day wanting more of it. That is either true love or early signs of insanity. Probably both.

And to think it all started when I walked down the stairs at Bethesda Terrace and saw her sitting by the fountain…in those ugly pink pants. (Yes, they were that bad. Whole nother story. Ask me about it sometime.)

Twenty years later, we have built this wild, beautiful, unpredictable life together. There have been plot twists, bad haircuts, flight delays, lost luggage, and a whole lot of laughter. And I would not trade a single second of it.

Here is to the next 20 years of chaos, love, and whatever else we get ourselves into. ❤️

We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement.

Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot. First time for everything, and golf magic at its finest.

Easily the best scorecard moment of the day. 😂

We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement. Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot. First time for everything, and golf magic at its finest. Easily the best scorecard moment of the day. 😂
