The Bethesda Terrace Elopement of Elizabeth & Derek | A Central Park Wedding

This is the Bethesda Terrace elopement of Elizabeth and Derek. These two traveled to New York to tie the knot on a gorgeous day in Central Park. Jackie officiated a beautiful ceremony for #TeamReinking and after some wedding photos in the park we jumped into the Checker Cab Elizabeth and Derek had rented and made our way around the city. We took some fun underground subway photos and ended in Grand Central Terminal for a couple more shots. We finished the day together with a couple drinks in the middle of that amazing train station. Elizabeth and Derek, thank you for trusting me with capturing these memories for you. You guys are amazing.

Dies ist die Bethesda Terrace Hochzeit von Elizabeth und Derek. Die Zwei kamen nach New York um sich hier im Central Park das ‘Ja-Wort’ zu geben. Jackie führte eine sehr gefühlvolle Zeremonie durch und nach einigen Hochzeitsfotos im Central Park liessen wir uns mit dem Checker Cab durch New York kutschieren. Wir machten Fotos in der Subway und fuhren dann zur Grand Central für ein paar weitere Fotos. Dort endeten wir dann auch unseren gemeinsamen Tag mit ein paar Cocktails. Es war ein unheimlich schöner und erfolgreicher Tag mit den beiden.

20 years!!

175,320 hours.
10,519,200 minutes.
And around 631 million seconds of putting up with each other.

Today, exactly 20 years ago, I married my best friend. And I had no idea what the next 20 years would bring.

I love Jackie more today than ever. Which says a lot, because I already liked her quite a bit before. She is my best friend, my business partner, my favorite person to do absolutely nothing with, and somehow the only human alive who can handle my grumpy moods. No really, that alone should win her an award or something.

When we met, I was still an architect and Jackie was a musical theater actor. Neither of us could have imagined that 20 years later we would be running our own wedding business together, celebrating love for a living, and helping over 1,200 couples create their own love stories.

We literally spend all our time together. Business, travel, life...and I still wake up every day wanting more of it. That is either true love or early signs of insanity. Probably both.

And to think it all started when I walked down the stairs at Bethesda Terrace and saw her sitting by the fountain…in those ugly pink pants. (Yes, they were that bad. Whole nother story. Ask me about it sometime.)

Twenty years later, we have built this wild, beautiful, unpredictable life together. There have been plot twists, bad haircuts, flight delays, lost luggage, and a whole lot of laughter. And I would not trade a single second of it.

Here is to the next 20 years of chaos, love, and whatever else we get ourselves into. ❤️

Couples always ask me what happens if it rains on their wedding day. We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement.

Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot. First time for everything, and golf magic at its finest.

Easily the best scorecard moment of the day. 😂

We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement. Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot.
