Amila & Christopher’s Romantic Central Park Wedding | Eloping in New York City

Amila & Christopher’s romantic Central Park wedding was a dream come true. As their New York elopement photographer, I was honored to capture this special day for them. They traveled all the way from Bosnia and Herzegovina to elope in New York City.

Jackie, the best officiant & celebrant in all over New York City, performed the ceremony on the beautiful rooftop of their hotel. Afterward, we embarked on a photo tour of the ‘Big Apple, capturing iconic landmarks such as the Empire State Building in the background. We even took some really New York-y photos on the subway while making our way to Central Park for some final shots against a stunning natural backdrop. The park was quiet and serene, allowing the couple to savor their moment together.

Amila & Christopher’s love story will always be remembered through the timeless beauty of their wedding photos, which capture the essence of their New York City adventure.

Die romantische Central Park Hochzeit von Amila & Christopher war ein Traum. Als ihr New Yorker Hochzeitsfotograf hatte ich die Ehre, diesen besonderen Tag für die Zwei festzuhalten. Sie reisten aus Bosnien und Herzegowina an, um in New York City zu heiraten.

Jackie, die beste ‘Standesbeamtin’ in ganz New York City, führte die Zeremonie auf der Dachterrasse ihres Hotels durch. Danach starteten wir unsere Fototour durch den “Big Apple”. Wir machten sogar einige “New York-y” Fotos in der Subway auf dem Weg zum Central Park für einige Aufnahmen mit der atemberaubenden Kulisse dort. Der Park war ruhig und friedlich und erlaubte es Amila und Christopher, ihren Moment zusammen zu genießen.

And around 631 million seconds of putting up with each other.

Today, exactly 20 years ago, I married my best friend. And I had no idea what the next 20 years would bring.

I love Jackie more today than ever. Which says a lot, because I already liked her quite a bit before. She is my best friend, my business partner, my favorite person to do absolutely nothing with, and somehow the only human alive who can handle my grumpy moods. No really, that alone should win her an award or something.

When we met, I was still an architect and Jackie was a musical theater actor. Neither of us could have imagined that 20 years later we would be running our own wedding business together, celebrating love for a living, and helping over 1,200 couples create their own love stories.

We literally spend all our time together. Business, travel, life...and I still wake up every day wanting more of it. That is either true love or early signs of insanity. Probably both.

And to think it all started when I walked down the stairs at Bethesda Terrace and saw her sitting by the fountain…in those ugly pink pants. (Yes, they were that bad. Whole nother story. Ask me about it sometime.)

Twenty years later, we have built this wild, beautiful, unpredictable life together. There have been plot twists, bad haircuts, flight delays, lost luggage, and a whole lot of laughter. And I would not trade a single second of it.

Here is to the next 20 years of chaos, love, and whatever else we get ourselves into. ❤️

Couples always ask me what happens if it rains on their wedding day. We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement.

Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot. First time for everything, and golf magic at its finest.

Easily the best scorecard moment of the day. 😂

We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement. Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot.
