Team Reinking is giving away 1 elopement & 1 photo session FOR FREE

COVID-19 has affected our entire world in a way we never could have imagined. This virus has been devastating for us and so many of our friends and families. In New York City, our hometown, we can especially feel the affects of this virus. However, we are so grateful that there are also so many bright beacons of light amongst this great city.

New Yorkers are stepping up and take care of each other. People are now more emotionally connected. Neighbors checking in on other neighbors. Chalk drawings cover the sidewalks and brightly colored posters in the windows that have uplifting messages of gratitude. Restaurants feeding those in need. And every night, at exactly 7pm, people all over NYC cheer in gratitude for our healthcare workers. New Yorkers are applauding, singing, whistling and banging pots together to show their support for all of those brave men & women who put their own lives on the line to help keep the rest of us safe. They are on the frontlines of this pandemic and the real heroes of this crisis.

Team Reinking wants to put a smile on the faces of some of these heroes by doing what we do best – LOVE.
We are excited to announce that we have teamed up with Nic from ‘Starbright Floral Design’ and Lucy from ‘Miss Harlequin’ to gift one frontline health worker a NEW YORK ELOPEMENT FOR FREE!

THIS ELOPEMENT INCLUDES:

Wedding Ceremony – Jackie, a registered officiant will perform a beautiful personalized ceremony.
Photography – Sascha will take the couple on a 2 hour photo shoot around the city.
Hair / Makeup – Lucy will ‘beautify’ the bride with her professional styling skills.
Flowers – Nic will provide the most amazing wedding bouquet.

In addition, Team Reinking also will give away a 1 HOUR PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION to another one of our heroes, FREE OF CHARGE. This can be an engagement session, a family shoot, headshots, whatever they like.

Healthcare workers can either apply themselves or, if you know of a healthcare worker that’s a family member, a friend, a neighbor or anyone you think deserves this offer, you can nominate them.

HERE IS HOW YOU APPLY:

+ Write a couple of sentences about what this person/couple does and why you think they deserve one of these sessions.
+ Add a photo and an email address of the person or couple.
+ Make sure the person/couple is ok with us showing some photos afterwards.
+ Send everything to sascha@saschareinking.com. Deadline is May 31, 2020.

Team Reinking wants to show our appreciation for these heroes that fight for our lives every day in hopes this will make someone’s day a bit brighter. Everyone need to know that #LoveIsNotCanceled.

Okay, I need a FAVOR… a BIG one!!

Next year the World Cup will be held right here in the U.S. 8 games will be played in front of my house at MetLife Stadium.

Here’s the thing: this week only, the lottery opened for World Cup tickets. You can register for free to maybe get the chance to buy tickets. The lottery will close this Friday (October 31). The odds are long…like “hole-in-one in a hurricane” long.

So, dear friends, family...past and future couples, if you are not planning to go to the World Cup, I have one humble request:

👉 Please throw your name into the lottery for me. https://www.fifa.com

It costs nothing to register, and if by some miracle you get selected, I’ll 100% pay for the tickets (no questions asked, no money out of your pocket).

I’ve photographed over 1,200 weddings…I’ve climbed rooftops and bridges, and made small miracles happen…but I’ve never seen a World Cup game in my life. And next year, it’s happening 10 minutes from my house!

So, help a soccer-obsessed photographer live his dream. ⚽️
https://www.fifa.com

Put your name in the hat, and maybe together we can beat the odds! But remember, the lottery will close this Friday (October 31). So no time to waste!

(DM me if you register and I’ll send good karma and eternal gratitude your way.)

20 years!!
7,305 days.
175,320 hours.
10,519,200 minutes.
And around 631 million seconds of putting up with each other.

Today, exactly 20 years ago, I married my best friend. And I had no idea what the next 20 years would bring.

I love Jackie more today than ever. Which says a lot, because I already liked her quite a bit before. She is my best friend, my business partner, my favorite person to do absolutely nothing with, and somehow the only human alive who can handle my grumpy moods. No really, that alone should win her an award or something.

When we met, I was still an architect and Jackie was a musical theater actor. Neither of us could have imagined that 20 years later we would be running our own wedding business together, celebrating love for a living, and helping over 1,200 couples create their own love stories.

We literally spend all our time together. Business, travel, life...and I still wake up every day wanting more of it. That is either true love or early signs of insanity. Probably both.

And to think it all started when I walked down the stairs at Bethesda Terrace and saw her sitting by the fountain…in those ugly pink pants. (Yes, they were that bad. Whole nother story. Ask me about it sometime.)

Twenty years later, we have built this wild, beautiful, unpredictable life together. There have been plot twists, bad haircuts, flight delays, lost luggage, and a whole lot of laughter. And I would not trade a single second of it.

Here is to the next 20 years of chaos, love, and whatever else we get ourselves into. ❤️

If you made it to the end of this post, tell us how we know and met you. Because guess what…you are part of our story too. And we want to hear about it. Thank you for being an integral part of Team Reinking.

Couples always ask me what happens if it rains on their wedding day. And my answer always is: “Then we will have fun in the rain!!”. 🥰

We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement.

Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot. First time for everything, and golf magic at its finest.

Easily the best scorecard moment of the day. 😂
