Lauren & Moustafa’s Belvedere Castle Wedding | A Central Park Elopement

This is Lauren & Moustafa’s Belvedere Castle Wedding. I met Lauren at the Lotte Hotel that morning where she, together with her family, was getting ready for her big day. There was lots of dancing and signing going on in the room which meant we were all in for a fantastic day. I stopped by Moustafa’s room for a couple of shots where he was hanging out with the guys.

And then it was time for the ‘First Look’. The Lotte Hotel was so kind to let us use the grand staircase and the location did not disappoint. It was an emotional ‘First Look’ to say the least. Afterwards we made our way to the Belvedere Castle in Central Park for the ceremony. Friends and family had gathered there to celebrate the happy couple. The ceremony was fantastic, followed by more dancing! The newlyweds and I finished our time together with a stroll through Central Park. Lauren and Moustafa, thank you so much for letting me be part of this beautiful day. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Dies ist die Belvedere Castle Hochzeit von Lauren und Moustafa. Ich traf Lauren in ihren Hotel am morgen der Hochzeit wo sie sich mit ihrer Familie zurecht machte. Im Zimmer ging schon richtig der Bär los. Es wurde viel gesungen und getanzt. Hinterher machte ich noch ein paar Fotos von Moustafa und dann war es auch schon Zeit für den ‘First Look’. Das Lotte Hotel hatte uns freundlicherweise die grosse Treppe zur verfügung gestellt. Es war schon sehr emotional als die Zwei sich zum ersten mal sahen. Anschliessend ging es dann zum Belvedere Castle im Central Park für die Trauung. Wir endete unsere Zeit zusammen mit einem Spaziergang durch den Central Park. Rundum ein gelungene Hochzeit.

20 years!!
7,305 days.
175,320 hours.
10,519,200 minutes.
And around 631 million seconds of putting up with each other.

Today, exactly 20 years ago, I married my best friend. And I had no idea what the next 20 years would bring.

I love Jackie more today than ever. Which says a lot, because I already liked her quite a bit before. She is my best friend, my business partner, my favorite person to do absolutely nothing with, and somehow the only human alive who can handle my grumpy moods. No really, that alone should win her an award or something.

When we met, I was still an architect and Jackie was a musical theater actor. Neither of us could have imagined that 20 years later we would be running our own wedding business together, celebrating love for a living, and helping over 1,200 couples create their own love stories.

We literally spend all our time together. Business, travel, life...and I still wake up every day wanting more of it. That is either true love or early signs of insanity. Probably both.

And to think it all started when I walked down the stairs at Bethesda Terrace and saw her sitting by the fountain…in those ugly pink pants. (Yes, they were that bad. Whole nother story. Ask me about it sometime.)

Twenty years later, we have built this wild, beautiful, unpredictable life together. There have been plot twists, bad haircuts, flight delays, lost luggage, and a whole lot of laughter. And I would not trade a single second of it.

Here is to the next 20 years of chaos, love, and whatever else we get ourselves into. ❤️

Couples always ask me what happens if it rains on their wedding day. We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement.

Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot. First time for everything, and golf magic at its finest.

Easily the best scorecard moment of the day. 😂

We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement. Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot.
