The 620 Loft & Garden Wedding of Carly and Peter | 620 Fifth Avenue Elopement

This is the 620 Loft & Garden wedding of Carly and Peter. These two jumped in a car and drove to New York City from North Carolina. After I met both of them for some ‘getting ready’ shots in different hotels, Peter made his way to 620 Loft & Garden before Carly and I followed shortly after. The bride looked drop-dead gorgeous and you could see it in Peter’s eyes that he was thinking the same when Carly walked down the aisle. After the ceremony at 620 Fifth Avenue we made our way to Grand Central Terminal for some wedding photos, followed by Times Square. We ended our time together wish a stroll through Central Park before we finished up at their hotel with cake and champagne. Carly & Peter, thank you so much for letting me be part of this amazing day.

Dies ist die 620 Loft & Garden Hochzeit von Carly und Peter. Die Zwei fuhren den langen Weg nach New York von North Carolina. Nachdem ich Carly und Peter in ihrem Hotel traf für ein paar ‘getting ready’ Fotos machte sich der Bräutigam auf zum 620 Loft & Garden. Carly und ich folgten ein paar Minuten später. Die Braut sah atemberaubend aus und Peter dachte das wohl auch als er Carly zum ersten Mal im Hochzeitskleid sah. Nach der Trauung fuhren wir zum Grand Central Terminal für ein paar Hochzeitsfotos. Gefolgt vom Times Square und dem Central Park. Wir endeten den Tag mit Hochzeitstorte und Champagner in ihrem Hotel.

And around 631 million seconds of putting up with each other.

Today, exactly 20 years ago, I married my best friend. And I had no idea what the next 20 years would bring.

I love Jackie more today than ever. Which says a lot, because I already liked her quite a bit before. She is my best friend, my business partner, my favorite person to do absolutely nothing with, and somehow the only human alive who can handle my grumpy moods. No really, that alone should win her an award or something.

When we met, I was still an architect and Jackie was a musical theater actor. Neither of us could have imagined that 20 years later we would be running our own wedding business together, celebrating love for a living, and helping over 1,200 couples create their own love stories.

We literally spend all our time together. Business, travel, life...and I still wake up every day wanting more of it. That is either true love or early signs of insanity. Probably both.

And to think it all started when I walked down the stairs at Bethesda Terrace and saw her sitting by the fountain…in those ugly pink pants. (Yes, they were that bad. Whole nother story. Ask me about it sometime.)

Twenty years later, we have built this wild, beautiful, unpredictable life together. There have been plot twists, bad haircuts, flight delays, lost luggage, and a whole lot of laughter. And I would not trade a single second of it.

Here is to the next 20 years of chaos, love, and whatever else we get ourselves into. ❤️

Couples always ask me what happens if it rains on their wedding day. We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement.

Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot. First time for everything, and golf magic at its finest.

Easily the best scorecard moment of the day. 😂

We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement. Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot. First time for everything, and golf magic at its finest. Easily the best scorecard moment of the day. 😂
