The NYC City Clerk Wedding of Chelsea & John | New York City Clerk Elopement

This is the NYC City Clerk Wedding of Chelsea & John who came from London to say their ‘I Dos’ at the marriage bureau in Downtown Manhattan. After a quick ceremony we made our way over to Brooklyn for some photos with the New York skyline, the old brownstone houses and on top of the new Squibb Park Bridge. After some time in Dumbo we jumped on the subway and made our way back into the city where we stopped at the Public Library before we ended our time with photos in and around Grand Central Terminal. It was a picture perfect day for a NYC City Clerk wedding and photos all over the city. Thank you Chelsea and John for asking me to be part of this special day. It was magic and I enjoyed every minute!

Dies ist die standesamtliche Hochzeit von Chelsea & John in New York. Die Zwei kamen aus London nach New York gereist um sich hier beim City Clerk das Ja-Wort zu geben. Nach einer kurzen Zeremonie  im Standesamt ging es dann nach Brooklyn. Dort machten wir Hochzeitsfotos mit der New Yorker Skyline, alten Reihenhäusern und auf der neuen Squibb Park Brücke. Vom Brooklyn Bridge Park ging es dann mit der Subway zurück in die Stadt. Dort machten wir erst Fotos bei der Bücherei und im Anschluss besuchten wir noch die Grand Central. Chelsea und John, vielen Lieben Dank noch mal das ich euch an eurem Hochzeitstag begleiten durfte. Was für ein Tag!

And around 631 million seconds of putting up with each other.

Today, exactly 20 years ago, I married my best friend. And I had no idea what the next 20 years would bring.

I love Jackie more today than ever. Which says a lot, because I already liked her quite a bit before. She is my best friend, my business partner, my favorite person to do absolutely nothing with, and somehow the only human alive who can handle my grumpy moods. No really, that alone should win her an award or something.

When we met, I was still an architect and Jackie was a musical theater actor. Neither of us could have imagined that 20 years later we would be running our own wedding business together, celebrating love for a living, and helping over 1,200 couples create their own love stories.

We literally spend all our time together. Business, travel, life...and I still wake up every day wanting more of it. That is either true love or early signs of insanity. Probably both.

And to think it all started when I walked down the stairs at Bethesda Terrace and saw her sitting by the fountain…in those ugly pink pants. (Yes, they were that bad. Whole nother story. Ask me about it sometime.)

Twenty years later, we have built this wild, beautiful, unpredictable life together. There have been plot twists, bad haircuts, flight delays, lost luggage, and a whole lot of laughter. And I would not trade a single second of it.

Here is to the next 20 years of chaos, love, and whatever else we get ourselves into. ❤️
