Elope in Central Park | The Ladies Pavilion Elopement of Nicola & Craig | New York City

English:
Elope in Central Park! This is the Ladies’ Pavilion Elopement of Nicola & Craig. These two actually met on an airplane! Can you believe that?! I love that story. The entire day was just amazing. The morning started with torrential rainfall. It came down hard. But the moment Craig arrived at the Ladies’ Pavilion the rain stopped all the sudden and the sun came out. Now we just had to wait for the bride and all was good. At least so we thought. Nicola was running a bit late and we had to laugh when we found out why. Nicola called us from the back of a NYPD car. And maybe I should end the story right here because this would be one amazing cliffhanger but I don’t want to be cruel. What happened was that the cab driver took Nicola to the wrong side of Central Park. Instead the West side, the taxi made it all the way to the East side of the park. She got out of the cab and with no money in hand for another taxi. So she made the decision to hail down a police car and the guys in blue didn’t hesitate. They gave her a private escort in a real NYPD car through the park and dropped her off directly in front of the Ladies’ Pavilion. How amazing is that? What a cool story to tell, right? New York’s boys in blue are just the best! As I said, the day was amazing from start to finish. Following Jackie’s ceremony we walked through the park for wedding photos and ended at Grand Central Station. Nicola & Craig, that was one heck of a day and I am so thankful that you shared it with me.

Working on something new for our couples. And this one took a while to get right…
20 years!!
7,305 days.
175,320 hours.
10,519,200 minutes.
And around 631 million seconds of putting up with each other.

Today, exactly 20 years ago, I married my best friend. And I had no idea what the next 20 years would bring.

I love Jackie more today than ever. Which says a lot, because I already liked her quite a bit before. She is my best friend, my business partner, my favorite person to do absolutely nothing with, and somehow the only human alive who can handle my grumpy moods. No really, that alone should win her an award or something.

When we met, I was still an architect and Jackie was a musical theater actor. Neither of us could have imagined that 20 years later we would be running our own wedding business together, celebrating love for a living, and helping over 1,200 couples create their own love stories.

We literally spend all our time together. Business, travel, life...and I still wake up every day wanting more of it. That is either true love or early signs of insanity. Probably both.

And to think it all started when I walked down the stairs at Bethesda Terrace and saw her sitting by the fountain…in those ugly pink pants. (Yes, they were that bad. Whole nother story. Ask me about it sometime.)

Twenty years later, we have built this wild, beautiful, unpredictable life together. There have been plot twists, bad haircuts, flight delays, lost luggage, and a whole lot of laughter. And I would not trade a single second of it.

Here is to the next 20 years of chaos, love, and whatever else we get ourselves into. ❤️

If you made it to the end of this post, tell us how we know and met you. Because guess what…you are part of our story too. And we want to hear about it. Thank you for being an integral part of Team Reinking.

Couples always ask me what happens if it rains on their wedding day. And my answer always is: “Then we will have fun in the rain!!”. 🥰

We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement.

Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot. First time for everything, and golf magic at its finest.

Easily the best scorecard moment of the day. 😂
