Sarah & Kathrin’s Ladies’ Pavilion Wedding | Elope in Central Park | New York Elopement Photographer

English
To elope in Central Park is a dream of so many couples. This is the story of Sarah and Kathrin who traveled from Germany to their dream city New York to get hitched in the ‘Big Apple’. It was a gorgeous summer day when Sarah and Kathrin arrived at the Ladies’ Pavilion in Central Park. There were tears all around during the ceremony while Sarah and Kathrin held on to each other. When you get married in a place like New York there are always people who stop and watch. And it wasn’t much different for these ladies. After the ‘I dos’ the crowd broke out in cheers and applause. It was such an amazing experience for everyone involved. After the ceremony we made our way around New York for some wedding photos. We started in Central Park, used the Upper West Side for some fun street shots before taking the subway to SoHo where the graffiti-lined walls and cobble stone streets made for amazing backdrops. We ended our photo session in Dumbo for a couple last images underneath the majestic Brooklyn Bridge before Sarah & Kathrin finished their day with a helicopter tour high above the streets of New York City. What an amazing and fun day to elope in Central Park.

Okay, I need a FAVOR… a BIG one!!

Next year the World Cup will be held right here in the U.S. 8 games will be played in front of my house at MetLife Stadium.

Here’s the thing: this week only, the lottery opened for World Cup tickets. You can register for free to maybe get the chance to buy tickets. The lottery will close this Friday (October 31). The odds are long…like “hole-in-one in a hurricane” long.

So, dear friends, family...past and future couples, if you are not planning to go to the World Cup, I have one humble request:

👉 Please throw your name into the lottery for me. https://www.fifa.com

It costs nothing to register, and if by some miracle you get selected, I’ll 100% pay for the tickets (no questions asked, no money out of your pocket).

I’ve photographed over 1,200 weddings…I’ve climbed rooftops and bridges, and made small miracles happen…but I’ve never seen a World Cup game in my life. And next year, it’s happening 10 minutes from my house!

So, help a soccer-obsessed photographer live his dream. ⚽️

Put your name in the hat, and maybe together we can beat the odds! But remember, the lottery will close this Friday (October 31). So no time to waste!

(DM me if you register and I’ll send good karma and eternal gratitude your way.)

20 years!!
7,305 days.
175,320 hours.
10,519,200 minutes.
And around 631 million seconds of putting up with each other.

Today, exactly 20 years ago, I married my best friend. And I had no idea what the next 20 years would bring.

I love Jackie more today than ever. Which says a lot, because I already liked her quite a bit before. She is my best friend, my business partner, my favorite person to do absolutely nothing with, and somehow the only human alive who can handle my grumpy moods. No really, that alone should win her an award or something.

When we met, I was still an architect and Jackie was a musical theater actor. Neither of us could have imagined that 20 years later we would be running our own wedding business together, celebrating love for a living, and helping over 1,200 couples create their own love stories.

We literally spend all our time together. Business, travel, life...and I still wake up every day wanting more of it. That is either true love or early signs of insanity. Probably both.

And to think it all started when I walked down the stairs at Bethesda Terrace and saw her sitting by the fountain…in those ugly pink pants. (Yes, they were that bad. Whole nother story. Ask me about it sometime.)

Twenty years later, we have built this wild, beautiful, unpredictable life together. There have been plot twists, bad haircuts, flight delays, lost luggage, and a whole lot of laughter. And I would not trade a single second of it.

Here is to the next 20 years of chaos, love, and whatever else we get ourselves into. ❤️

If you made it to the end of this post, tell us how we know and met you. Because guess what…you are part of our story too. And we want to hear about it. Thank you for being an integral part of Team Reinking.

Couples always ask me what happens if it rains on their wedding day. And my answer always is: “Then we will have fun in the rain!!”. 🥰

We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement.

Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot. First time for everything, and golf magic at its finest.

Easily the best scorecard moment of the day. 😂
