New York elopement photographer

I would love to share some of the images of Nicole and Andre’s New York elopement. These two tied the knot at the ‘Office of the City Clerk’ here in Manhattan which, as you can see in some of the photos, was packed that day. Afterwards we crossed the East River to take some photos in front of the beautiful New York skyline in Brooklyn Bridge Park. The next stop was Times Square. We took some of the street crossing shots where we –  surprise, surprise – got photobombed again!! I have to say, I love Nicole and Andre. Not only are they big supporters of the best soccer team in the world but Nicole was such a trooper. As you can see in the shots…she was expecting. But that didn’t stop her. Nicole was all over the place and made this session so much fun. Nicole and Andre…thank you so very much for trusting me with your family memories. I really appreciate it…

10,519,200 minutes.
And around 631 million seconds of putting up with each other.

Today, exactly 20 years ago, I married my best friend. And I had no idea what the next 20 years would bring.

I love Jackie more today than ever. Which says a lot, because I already liked her quite a bit before. She is my best friend, my business partner, my favorite person to do absolutely nothing with, and somehow the only human alive who can handle my grumpy moods. No really, that alone should win her an award or something.

When we met, I was still an architect and Jackie was a musical theater actor. Neither of us could have imagined that 20 years later we would be running our own wedding business together, celebrating love for a living, and helping over 1,200 couples create their own love stories.

We literally spend all our time together. Business, travel, life...and I still wake up every day wanting more of it. That is either true love or early signs of insanity. Probably both.

And to think it all started when I walked down the stairs at Bethesda Terrace and saw her sitting by the fountain…in those ugly pink pants. (Yes, they were that bad. Whole nother story. Ask me about it sometime.)

Twenty years later, we have built this wild, beautiful, unpredictable life together. There have been plot twists, bad haircuts, flight delays, lost luggage, and a whole lot of laughter. And I would not trade a single second of it.

Here is to the next 20 years of chaos, love, and whatever else we get ourselves into. ❤️
