Sneak Peek | Justine & Lloyd’s New York City Hall elopement | Heiraten im NYC Clerk’s Office

This is a little ‘sneak peek’ of Justine & Lloyd’s New York City Hall elopement. These two came all the way from Dubai to tie the knot in the ‘Big Apple’. And they sure ‘said YES’ in style. Just look at Justine’s ice blue ‘butterfly wing’ heels by Sophia Webster. Come on now. Aren’t those to die for? I wouldn’t have lasted a minute in them but Justine walked all over town in those heels. From the City Clerk’s office to the Brooklyn Bridge Park and from Dumbo‘s cobble stone streets to Grand Central Terminal. What an amazing day. Justine & Lloyd, it was such an honor to photograph your wedding day here in New York City!

Heute gibt es einen kleinen Vorgeschmack auf Justine & Lloyd’s Hochzeit im New Yorker Standesamt. Die Zwei kamen den weiten Weg von Dubai um im ‘Big Apple’ zu heiraten. Und das dann auch noch in Stil! Schaut euch mal Justine’s eisblaue Schmetterlingsschuhe von Sophia Webster an. Also wirklich jetzt. Sind die nicht unglaublich? Ich hätte in den Schuhen keine Minute durchgehalten aber Justine war mit denen in ganz New York unterwegs. Vom Standesamt zum Brooklyn Bridge Park and von den Kopfsteinpflastern in Dumbo zum Grand Central Terminal. Was für ein fantastischer Tag. Justine & Lloyd, es war mir eine Ehre euren Hochzeitstag hier in New York City zu fotografieren.

Okay, I need a FAVOR… a BIG one!!

Next year the World Cup will be held right here in the U.S. 8 games will be played in front of my house at MetLife Stadium.

Here’s the thing: this week only, the lottery opened for World Cup tickets. You can register for free to maybe get the chance to buy tickets. The lottery will close this Friday (October 31). The odds are long…like “hole-in-one in a hurricane” long.

So, dear friends, family...past and future couples, if you are not planning to go to the World Cup, I have one humble request:

It costs nothing to register, and if by some miracle you get selected, I’ll 100% pay for the tickets (no questions asked, no money out of your pocket).

I’ve photographed over 1,200 weddings…I’ve climbed rooftops and bridges, and made small miracles happen…but I’ve never seen a World Cup game in my life. And next year, it’s happening 10 minutes from my house!

And around 631 million seconds of putting up with each other.

Today, exactly 20 years ago, I married my best friend. And I had no idea what the next 20 years would bring.

I love Jackie more today than ever. Which says a lot, because I already liked her quite a bit before. She is my best friend, my business partner, my favorite person to do absolutely nothing with, and somehow the only human alive who can handle my grumpy moods. No really, that alone should win her an award or something.

When we met, I was still an architect and Jackie was a musical theater actor. Neither of us could have imagined that 20 years later we would be running our own wedding business together, celebrating love for a living, and helping over 1,200 couples create their own love stories.

We literally spend all our time together. Business, travel, life...and I still wake up every day wanting more of it. That is either true love or early signs of insanity. Probably both.

And to think it all started when I walked down the stairs at Bethesda Terrace and saw her sitting by the fountain…in those ugly pink pants. (Yes, they were that bad. Whole nother story. Ask me about it sometime.)

Twenty years later, we have built this wild, beautiful, unpredictable life together. There have been plot twists, bad haircuts, flight delays, lost luggage, and a whole lot of laughter. And I would not trade a single second of it.

Here is to the next 20 years of chaos, love, and whatever else we get ourselves into. ❤️

We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement.

Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot. First time for everything, and golf magic at its finest.

Easily the best scorecard moment of the day. 😂

We got paired with these two at our 6:54 AM tee time this morning @gallopinghillgolfcourse and right before we teed off, they mentioned they might stop to snap a quick photo for their pregnancy announcement. Well, what are the odds they got paired with a photographer? So in between bogeys and lost balls, we knocked out an impromptu mini photo shoot. First time for everything, and golf magic at its finest. Easily the best scorecard moment of the day. 😂
