Sneak Peek | Nina & Johannes’ Gantry Park elopement in Long Island City, Queens | Hochzeit in LIC

Today I have a special ‘Sneak Peek’ of Nina & Johannes’ Gantry Park elopement for you. These two got married on Pier 1 in Long Island City on a wonderful and sunny day. Jackie officiated the ceremony and there was so much fun and love all around. These two were so into each other that nothing around them really mattered. I can’t wait to show you more photos of this very special day but for now I leave you with these first images of Nina & Johannes at Gantry Plaza State Park, with the New York Skyline, on ‘Top of the Rock’ and some images of them walking the Highline Park. Heute möchte ich mit euch eine kleine Vorschau auf Nina & Johannes’ Gantry Park Hochzeit teilen. Die beiden haben an einem sonnigen Tag auf dem Pier 1 in Long Island City geheiratet. Jackie hat als Friedensrichterin, an einem Tag der voller Freude und Liebe war, die Zeremonie durchgeführt. Die Zwei hatten so viel Spass miteinander dass sie fast alles um sich herum vergessen haben. Ich kann es kaum abwarten euch weitere Fotos von diesem besonderen Tag zu zeigen. 175,320 hours.
10,519,200 minutes.
And around 631 million seconds of putting up with each other.

Today, exactly 20 years ago, I married my best friend. And I had no idea what the next 20 years would bring.

I love Jackie more today than ever. Which says a lot, because I already liked her quite a bit before. She is my best friend, my business partner, my favorite person to do absolutely nothing with, and somehow the only human alive who can handle my grumpy moods. No really, that alone should win her an award or something.

When we met, I was still an architect and Jackie was a musical theater actor. Neither of us could have imagined that 20 years later we would be running our own wedding business together, celebrating love for a living, and helping over 1,200 couples create their own love stories.

We literally spend all our time together. Business, travel, life...and I still wake up every day wanting more of it. That is either true love or early signs of insanity. Probably both.

And to think it all started when I walked down the stairs at Bethesda Terrace and saw her sitting by the fountain…in those ugly pink pants. (Yes, they were that bad. Whole nother story. Ask me about it sometime.)

Twenty years later, we have built this wild, beautiful, unpredictable life together. There have been plot twists, bad haircuts, flight delays, lost luggage, and a whole lot of laughter. And I would not trade a single second of it.

Here is to the next 20 years of chaos, love, and whatever else we get ourselves into. ❤️
