Most life lessons, I learned from the best movie ever made…Ghostbusters.
“Back off man, I’m a scientist.”
If you want to see a grown man tear up within seconds, just hum the first few notes of any Christmas song ever written. I am the biggest Christmas fan you will ever meet. My countdown to Christmas starts every year on December 26. I love everything about the holidays. Everything! Christmas trees, tiny little bells, ornaments, Christmas movies (on my lord, do I love Christmas movies!), cookies, Christmas songs, mulled wine, twinkle lights, holiday fairs, Santa, the cold, hot chocolate, crowds (yes, even crowds). You name it, I love it!
What ever life throws at me, my beautiful wife Jackie makes it better. She is magical. I don’t know how she does it but she knows exactly what to say to set life back in perspective. She does it every time…all the time. She is my rock and my best friend. And sometimes she drives me nuts. In a good way, of course! ;)
No one knows this, except my wife, but every time I board a plane, I stop at the door, put my right hand on the outside of the plane and whisper: “Good plane, nice plane. Please get me safe to [insert city].” Superstitious, I guess.
In my former life I was an architect. In fact, I still love architecture very much however I prefer photographing happy people in love. Wouldn’t you agree?
I love, love, LOOOVE Broadway shows. My favorite shows are Les Miserables (If you haven’t seen it, RUN, do not walk, and see the show. Mind blowing), Jersey Boys, Wicked, Rock of Ages, Phantom of the Opera, Rent, The Pillow Man, Mary Poppins…shall I keep going?
Jackie and I took our daughter, Lucy to Disney World and I think I enjoyed the magic kingdom as much as she did. I have photos of myself with Mr. Incredible, Wreck-It Ralph and Buzz Lightyear and I am very proud of it! And by the way, I spent at least an hour every day in the Disney World Christmas Shop just because I could! (see fact #2)
Our puggle, Dexter is NOT named after “Dexter, the little scientist” cartoon character, as many people usually guess but rather after Dexter Morgan, the serial killer on Showtime. It’s usually a bit awkward in conversation but that’s how we roll!
As kids, my brother Björn and I would tease my sister, Christina by telling her about the clown and a pony that would come to play every night after she had gone to bed and that she had missed all the fun, again. This clown/pony story still comes up every time my family all gets together.
BEER! ’nuff said…

(I consider Zach Braff a close, personal friend since he likes to photobomb my shots and makes funny faces. But please don’t mention this to him because I am not sure he’s aware that we are buddies…yet!)
